College of American Pathologists

Over several years, worked closely with the CEO, CMO, and VP of corporate strategy on key initiatives, including an enterprise-wide rebrand, designing a complex offer set, and developing audience-specific value propositions. We also reimagined membership tiers, assessed marketing team capabilities, and provided strategic guidance to enhance creative quality and brand alignment. This involved regular facilitation of sessions with executive leadership and the Board to address strategic challenges and operational impacts.

Child Neurology Society

Partnered with the CEO to develop a long-term strategy for the society, resulting in clear priorities, initiatives with KPIs, committee decision rules, and a framework for evaluating partnerships. This included in-depth Board member interviews, best-practice application, full-day facilitation, and follow-up meetings to outline next steps. Currently, working with the CEO to align the Board on the Annual Meeting’s long-term goals and target audiences, aiming to better serve members and quickly restore the event’s profitability.

GE Healthcare

At a large management consulting firm, I led a team in developing a "plan-to-win" for GE Healthcare's Americas business, identifying five key growth areas to achieve company goals. This involved closely collaborating with leadership to organize a two-day event for 200 senior managers, educating them on the strategy, execution plans, metrics, and roles to ensure progress.

I also led efforts to segment the US healthcare provider landscape, create a targeting strategy, and develop tailored value propositions for a new commercial account model. Additionally, I directed a two-year global initiative to optimize the product brand portfolio within the Diagnostic Imaging business, resulting in a streamlined structure that met the needs of radiologists, administrators, and healthcare executives while clarifying our offerings and guiding communication for future innovations.

Johnson & Johnson MedTech

Secured and led a three-year relationship across multiple businesses, collaborating with cross-functional teams on various engagements. Sample Projects:

  • VELYS Insights: Conducted extensive qualitative research with orthopedic surgeons to identify barriers and opportunities for using digital technologies and telehealth in the surgical process. Developed a comprehensive value proposition, messaging, and module architecture.

  • J&J Strategic Customer Group (SCG): Conducted qualitative research with senior administrators at large health systems to uncover opportunities for leveraging the full suite of J&J Medical Technologies (JJMT) solutions. Equipped the customer management team with insights, tools, and value propositions to engage prospects on broader issues.

Hackensack Meridian Health

Collaborated with the Chief Strategy Officer and CMO of a large regional health system to create a system-wide brand architecture that clarified the relationships between entities and the newly established HMH brand. Developed a comprehensive taxonomy, naming convention, nomenclature, and design standards for facilities, service lines, affiliates, and joint ventures.

Special attention was given to the John Theurer Cancer Center, which had recently received NCI designation and had complex partnerships with organizations like Memorial Sloan Kettering and another comprehensive cancer center.

Catholic Health

Led strategy and consensus-building to unite a group of Long Island community hospitals under a single master brand. This involved extensive qualitative research with corporate leaders and a quantitative study with health-engaged consumers in key service areas.

I facilitated decision-making with the Board by presenting positioning and communication alternatives for the new brand while integrating various entities into a cohesive brand architecture. The plan was embraced by executive leadership and successfully implemented, resulting in brand standards and marketing initiatives that enhanced loyalty and brand equity.
